Transition Year Students at Cistercian College presented their research on Genetic Engineering at this year’s BT Young Scientist Exhibition at The RDS in Dublin.

Caleb Faughnan, Oliver Feely and Pablo Gutierrez represented Cistercian College at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition at the RDS with their project titled: ‘An exploration of the views and attitudes of the adults of tomorrow towards Genetic Engineering’. They investigated how their peers felt about recent developments in the field of genetic engineering and discovered that young people their age were not that well informed about advances in the field of Science. They then produced their own information leaflets designed to educate in a simple and accessible manner.
