Anticipation is building at Cistercian College for this year’s musical “All aboard the Titanic”

Preparations are underway at Cistercian College Roscrea for the annual College Musical. This year the students of the College will perform “All aboard the titanic” to the public for four nights from Monday November 13th to Thursday November 16th.

The musical is based on the most legendary ship in the world “The Titanic” which sank on its maiden voyage to America on April 15th, 1912. The musical tells the story of the real passengers aboard the Titanic and throughout the musical we meet various characters and learn about their hopes, dreams and desires.

Director of Music at Cistercian College Mr. William Cullagh said:

“The students have been working hard over the past few weeks to bring this show to life. The annual College Musical is one of the main events at Cistercian College each year with so many students throughout the College getting involved and music is an integral part of student life at CCR. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to this year’s production”.

Cistercian College President, Mr. Colm Maloney said:

I am really excited about our upcoming event, the Musical has such a rich history in the College and a proud tradition. It also showcases our students abilities outside the classroom and sport fields, the love and talent for the Arts remains strong in the College and we very much support that at every turn. Having my office located beside the theatre, I can vouch for the time and effort, and the huge range and depth of talent and quality on display.  I’ve managed to resist the urge to have too much of a sneak peak as I’m awaiting opening night. We’re delighted to be able to invite and welcome our friends of the College, both old and new, past and present. A huge thank you and well done in advance to our Musical Director, Director and Choreographer, Producer and all of the students involved, on stage and off, our great staff in all areas, to our Music support group and parents, a huge thank you also for the unwavering support as always. Please feel free to come and experience the show, whether it’s your first time to visit the College or a seasoned campaigner”.

The musical will run nightly at 7:30pm from November 13th to Thursday 16th and tickets can be booked by calling the office directly in Cistercian College on (0505) 23344. Tickets cost €15.00 for adults and €10.00 for students and OAPS.

We look forward to welcoming you all through the doors of Cistercian College for this year’s production.
