5th Year
The subject choices for 5th year students for the 2025-2026 Academic Year are available below. Subject options may change from year to year depending on student preferences.
Core subjects: Maths, English and Irish and One subject from each of the following bands;
Band 1 French or German or Spanish*
Band 2 Business or Chemistry or History or Music
Band 3 Accounting or Art or Biology or Geography
Band 4 Ag.Science or Economics or Physics or P.E
LCVP Offered
Optional Evening Subject: Design & Communications Graphics
* Spanish is timetabled in the evening only – it is not available during the day.
Leaving Certificate
The Leaving Certificate programme is taught over two years and most subjects are offered in any given year. Students select between seven and nine subjects from a broad curriculum of 20. The timetable can facilitate three science subjects, three business subjects and three modern languages.
