Brother Oliver Tyrrell OCSO died peacefully this morning. Students and staff joined together at morning prayer in the college chapel and prayed for him and for the monastic community.

Brother Oliver and Brother John both worked together for years in the monastery bakery and their bread was enjoyed by generations of our past students and also by many members of the local community who came to the guesthouse to buy the bread.

Brother Oliver will also be remembered for his very distinctive voice when he read at the masses celebrated in the monastery church.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
