Cistercian College Senior hurlers reclaim the Barry Nash Memorial trophy after three years

Well done to our Senior Hurlers who ended a three year drought to recapture the Barry Nash Memorial cup last week.

Cistercian College, Coláiste Phobal Ros Cré , Scariff and Killina compete for the Barry Nash Memorial trophy each year. Again this year the competition was played to the highest sportsmanship and the quality of hurling was above what anyone could have expected in the weather conditions.

CCR played Coláiste Phobal in the final. CCR had played a young Killina in the semi- final. Colaiste Phobal defeated Scariff in the other semi final.

CCR came out winners in the final by the narrowest of margins.

Thank you to Referees Tommy Ryan and John Sampson. A big thank you also to Ballyskenagh GAA for hosting one of the venues.

Well done to coaches Tommy Dunne and Donie Franks.
