The annual Cistercian College Roscrea Sports Awards were held in the College on May 21st. Prior to this year’s Awards, Dignitaries from Offaly County Council played host to a Ceremony of Recognition, a civic reception where Councillor Sinead Dooley, Cathaoirleach presented the Senior Cup Team with a Certificate of Recognition, honouring the achievements of the College in winning the 2015 Bank of Ireland Leinster Schools Senior Rugby Cup Final. Past student, Councillor Peter Ormond presented a scroll to the College and a Parchment Charter of Honour to the winning team members in recognition of the Colleges recent sporting achievements including winning the All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.
