The new stations of the Cross were officially opened and blessed by Fr. Malachy on the grounds of Mount St Joseph Abbey. We welcomed parents, friends, staff of Cistercian College, board members and the members of Mount St. Joseph’s Abbey to come together for the blessings of the stations along with our first year and transition year students.

Over the past few weeks our Transition Year students spent the last couple of weeks working hard with Mr Smyth and Fr Aodhan laying the foundations and putting in place each station. A huge thank you to TY parent Ronan Egan from Eganstone in Kilbeggan who sponsored all of the stone for this project.

This project is dedicated to our Transition Year students Class of 2023 and this will be their legacy when they come back and visit the College in years to come.

Well done to all involved and the stations can now be enjoyed by the wider community when they come to visit.
