Les Misérables 2024

This year, the cast of “Les Misérables” took to the stage for four superb nights and what a week it was. We celebrated 100 years of productions since our first ever show back in 1924.

For the first time in the history of the College, we opened the show to girls and we think everyone can agree that the impact of the girls in the cast this year, created an extra special production, that will stick in our minds for many years to come. From start to finish, the cast were outstanding and a huge congratulations to all of the students involved in the production.

This year the show was completely booked out for the four nights and a huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the show each night. On behalf of the Music Support Group, we would also like to extend a thank you to all of those who contributed prizes for the raffle this year.

There are so many people to thank for making all of this possible, but a special word of thanks to the following:

Mr. William Cullagh, our very own Director of Music here at the College, without his hard work, love of music and dedication to the College a production like this would not be possible.

The staff, teachers and catering staff at Cistercian College

Kirsty Ryan, our Director and Choreographer for her sheer dedication and professionalism along with Mags McGee our Producer whose hard work is admirable.

Ciara Normoyle for the beautiful set design.

Simon and Lorraine Gleeson for the light and sound.

All members of our wonderful orchestra.

Ben Naughton Shires from Lumitech operating the lights.

TY and 3rd year students as backstage and stage crew.

Nomac for costumes.

A special mention to past student and Assistant Director Cuan Culliton without his commitment, knowledge, hard work and determination it would have not been possible to put this show together.

A further thank you to all of the past students of CCR who have been involved in past productions and returned on the last night to join us on stage. It was truely special.
